  i am not normally one to give opinion on movies, however i saw this christmas trailer the other night and it made me think (it's at the end of the trailer and spoken by jamie foxx (he is django).

  what do you think - lets all discuss.

  I liked the dialogue in NCFOM. I'm always quoting those characters. Hilarious! and I love the scene where TommyLee is talking to his uncle about God.

  fake - I don't know...lol. Got to get up my nerve. I'll give them a try one of these days. Which is the mildest of them with a good storyline? Husband said pulp fiction is good. What do you think?

  Ok, fakesmile, now on that I actually opened my eyes too soon. I caught that. I hate seeing violence and death but lots of excellent movies are full of that. Like one of my fave movies is No Country for Old Men. I managed to not see one person get killed (my first watching) with that crazy gun Chigurh made. So my dad bet me that I would get up and leave Django within 20 min.

  I won. But I did see lots of blood splattered on the walls and the flowers as you mentioned. My husband saw it 1st. He went back with me and warned me pre shooting, and of the mandingo fight and the dog eating scene...

  I could not believe how much blood there was in that movie. I don't even think there is that much blood in the human body, is there? Totally a guy movie, imo. Except for the love story part theme and the humor. I'd never watched a Tarantino movie, but all the guys said it's a wonder everyone wasn't dead by the end of the movie. So I guess the violence of it all was very Tarantino.

  My eyes were closed on all of the violent scenes. So I missed about 1/3 of the movie...lol. Everyone was tense, sad, and laughing at all of the same scenes. And there was no sense of political correctness either. Lots of us were talking about it at the end and were in agreement about the emotion of it.

  The audience in the theater was a mix of colors and ages. Sometimes all of that PC stuff is so silly.

  Yesterday Grandpa died a faithful JW.... or was he.

  yesterday at 3 am my grandfather.. 95 more or less... passed away after a heart attack... i got the call at 8 am.

  so i am the oldest grandson (out of 40) he was faithful, (thats what they want to say) reality is he wasnt, he cursed, he drank, he had plenty of women during his life.. he was an elder at some point and he was ultra good with everyone.

  he had a heart of gold... he treated me as his son, he never cared about my status.

  i was scared sh*tless.

  i stayed home from work for four days scared to go out of my house thinking god would strike me down by lightening if was wrong with my thoughts... i couldn't sleep at all.... but i had to take that first step... as scary as it was....

  i haven't been to a meeting (other than some cousins' weddings) for well over twenty years.

  i've always wondered what the fds was going to do with the "generations" thing once pretty much everybody who had been alive in 1914 is gone.

  i get that they've come up with some "new light" about this topic, but when i ask my mom (who's still in) i only get "well, the new understanding is complicated...".
